This week we are rowing Another Celebrated Dancing Bear. It's a sweet little story about a pair of bears in Russia so naturally we are turning this into a culture lesson. We discussed Matryoshkas or Russian nesting dolls, samovars which are like fancy teapots, looked at videos of the Moscow Circus and discovered that Russia lies in 2 continents. We also talked a bit about hospitality and how we can be hospitable when friends come to visit. What a fun beginning to our two week journey to Russia!
